I have a 92 f350 ,to start off it had a new hose when i got it.the nut on the pump side of the hose is tight.butthe hose is still lose.and leaks.so i thought the hose might have been messed up when put on.so i changed it out with a good hose off my parts truck, adapter also off the pump so it would all be matching (nonleaking hose)parts.put the hose on samething.tight fitting loose hose. does anyone know if the hoses have a O ring inside the flare nut on the pump side of the hose.
I have run into re-manufactured steering pumps and gears that have had the seats for the hoses over-cut and I could not seal them with new hoses. I took them back for exchange. The replacements in some cases leaked worse than the original cores I turned in.
