I put air in the flat tire on POJ tonight and did some checking to see where the slow leak is at. I have a leak along the bead and around the valve stem. I was going to pop the tire off and replace the valve stem and clean the bead, but I couldn't find a spare valve stem. I didn't feel like driving into town for one.
Sooo, since the path to the lake is starting to grow up with brush again I decided to get a mini off road fix. I drove up and down the hill about a dozen times to knock down the weeds and brush. Man, I need to get up to the Tuttle ORV area again. I do need to fix my brakes first though. They are a little spongy. I should have called Curtis to help on the road.
I`m good! Been a little worried about vaporlock but so far driving to work and back, no issues. Don`t know about long times idling while wheeling but seems to be ok. I do plan on buying a new radiator anyway..
Yeah, I just need to get my winch/bumper installed so I can pull all you guys out when you get stuck.
Edit:
Nah, that ain't right, I'm kind of emmbarrased. I've had an operating 4WD truck for almost two years and have not once taken it wheeling. Guess I fall under the "mall rated" or "street truck" category.
Doesn't take much to fix the "mall rated" catagory.
yea, like how you and curtis told me to climb a hill, turn around a tree and come back down in order to get in front of a certain dodge that was burried in a hole, all in my "street" truck with crappy treaded, full air tires
