Please interpret this for me:
For internal-type Dana 44 hub reassembly:
"Install the spring retainer ring, positioned as shown (Fig. 8) with the recessed undercut area going in first." Imagining the spring retainer ring as a bottle cap with a hole in the middle, does the cupped side face outward or inward. The illustration looks like the cup faces inward, cupping around the outer wheel bearing, but reading it, it reads to me that the cup should face outward. I've confused myself. Thanks.
