I have a 2000 Ranger 2.5 RWD shortbox. I just put in a new fuelpump/sending unit and my cousin and I realized that the pump and sending unit weren't kicking on. We tested both and both work. I lost my owners manual somewhere so we checked all the fuses/relays to try to see if one were blown and we couldn't figure it out. My cousin flipped the switch on the shut off relay and that still didn't help...so I ask any ideas which fuses/relays run the sending unit/pump and if those are good any ideas on what else it could be?

you can go here and get a manual https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenan...ls/default.asp you have a fuel pump relay in the distribution box it should be close to the firewall side. make sure the pcm fuse and relay is working...........you can spray starter fluid into the TB and if it starts you know you have a fuel issue.........if all the fuses chaeck out you should start testing for power.....DID YOU CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER?

Do yo have an antitheft syste? Do they shut off the fuel pump relay?

Fuel Filter isn't an issue the issue is the pump isn't kicking on at all. Thanks for the link

I don't have an antitheft system...
i agree the fuel filter is not the issue....I just always recomend to change them because they are a neglected item.......get a MM and start checking for power
The computer grounds the fuel pump power relays operating coil to cause it's contacts to close, for about two seconds at KOER to switch B+ to & through the in cabin inertia switch, to the fuel pump, to run fuel pump for two seconds to prime the system.
So maybe try listening to, feeling, wiggeling, or thumping the fuel pump power relay & see if it's waking up at KOEO.
If wiggeling or thumping it won't wake it up, try swapping it with a like relay not needed to run the engine, like the A/C power relay & see what happens.
If no joy, the computer may not be swiching the relays ground, or there could be a wiring probelm between the computer & power distribution box
Or maybe a computer power relay, or ignition switch problem, if the dash warning lights don't cycle on for their function check sequence, at KOEO as has been suggested.
So if a relay thump or swap doesn't bring joy, as powersmoked has suggested, break out the multimeter or test light & begin a systematic search for the missing B+. to the fuel pump.
I get a chuckle when peeps post what the answer is not but don't respond to your suggestions.........life on the internet

I did what you said started checking for power and I found the issue...There is a wire harness that plugs in to the bottom of the truck the wires on it are screwed...the plug its self is getting power its in the harness after that plug. I haven't a clue what it is but thats it...
