I have a '04 f-350 with the 6.0. I have started smelling gas fumes from the engine compartment coming through my AC vents.
The motor has 135,000 miles on it, has anyone else experienced this?
Appreciate your help and answers.

Reason: spelling
it prolly gets a stronger smell after the motor gets a little bit warmer, which casues the motor to get alittle bit stronger, and push more fumes out, if its not an manifold leak, its an exhaust leak of some sort, have you done any motor mods or after market exhaust systems?
Got a gas smell in a diesel? Well there's your problem! Lol
Seriously though, if it is coming from the engine bay area you need to have it checked out asap. Fuel leaks in the engine bay can cause a fire, and the fumes can cause you to pass out behind the wheel. This one does not need to be neglected.
you could probably even hear the exhaust leak, start your truck, get out and listen for like a ringing sound or an high pitched sound, both could narrow it down to the leak

I'll do that after work....I'm hoping it's nothing to major. This just started today on my way to work.
All in all the truck has been reliable, bought it new in '04.
I found out what the smell was. It was oil blowing out of the oil filter housing due to a worn out gasket on the screw cap. I replaced it and cleaned up the oil and it's all good now.....I lucked out on this one.
