The end of the world

My batteries went flat. Turns out one of the coil wires on the alternator was grounding out. I had to drive a 98 saturn sl for 4 days until I could get to the alternator. Talk about torture...

However, once I had everything I needed, it took 20min to toss the new alternator in. Now, I'm back in my throne as the king of the road.

I appreciate my truck every time I drive it, but after driving that tiny crap bucket for a few days, I can really appreciate it. Normally that crap bucket is towed behind the motorhome for round-town driving on trips.

Glad to hear you got her running again, and sorry to hear you had to drive a Saturn for that long. P.S if you haven't voted (for me) in the diesel championship do so here. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...round-7-a.html

It's a great feeling to back into your truck... I had to drive a F150 with a 3V 4.6 engine. Talk about driving a turd!

You've got that backwards. You need to ditch the Saturn and start towing the motorhome behind the 6.0L. Then you've got all your bases covered. LOL

I wanted to get a drag behind, but then a 35' class A winnebago fell into my lap. The convenience of being able to litterally drive your living room where you go is nice. the kids can sit on the couch and watch tv and/or movies while on the road, the kitchen is right there.

Anyways, the crap bucket seems to have a leaky head gasket anyways, so I'm parking it up. My 6.0 is turning strong and generating plenty of electricity, so all is well.
