My turbo sounds a little funny. Still pulling my trailer but sounds different. My exhaust was blocked off long ago from the egr cooler, I also gutted the cat. I could here a little whisle out of the tail pipe. Now I don't here it. And I here like a exhaust leak or hissing but I don't smell any thing in the cab. Could the turbo stuck just in 4 days?
If you had the turbo out too you might not have gotten the y-pipe to turbo flange lined up right. I spent a whole day, literally, working to get one matched back up. If that's where it's leaking--you can feel it with your hand or see smoke--try loosening the y-pipe at the exhaust manifolds and lining up at the back of the turbo first then go back to the manifolds. I bet that's where your hissing is coming from. Did you also add a new up-pipe to the y-pipe??
OK I'll try that. No I didn't put a new up-pipe on, I had my old one are block off so I didn't see the point of changing it. But wouldn't I smell exhaust in the cab?
I didnt smell my exhaust leak for a while, try turning the AC off and only the fan on. With the AC on max it returns air from the cab to be conditioned so you miss out on the wonderful smell of exhaust in the cab. Just a little blurp from my experices.
