The Edelbrock Truck intake has more potential than the stock piece for sure but a stroker doesn't need help to make TQ and those extra long runners become restrictive pretty quickly. My suggestion would be to pick up a Typhoon upper at some point to replace the Eddy truck upper, it's a copy of the Performer that usually goes for about 1/2 the price.

The Jet shift command has 4 wires it T's into two of the transmission solenoid wires, a gound, and a switched hot. I hope it works alright, actually I hope it works really dang good for my transmission's sake.

And another ?...
What would you recomend for gauges? I have a gauge pod, triple 2 1/16" a-pillar. Wondering if you guys have any extra gauges in your rides. I was thinking about a water temp, oil press, and a tranny temp. I just can't seen to find any electric 'full sweep' gauges I lick in the amount I want to spend... except the Glow Shift ones. But according to all the things i've looked at and reviews i've read, there not that bad.
And yet another ?.....
Any other advice about break in?
I have the zinc break in additive, running VR1 for extra zinc, primed and am going to reprime before firing. I've heard of taking out, or leaving out the t-stat for break in. I'm not sure why, any ideas? I've got a 195 high pro, all accessories new, except compressor still haves r-12- causes white out conditions in the truck. lol Am I supposed to change the oil after the 20 minute minimum 2000 rpm run in? or wait until 500 miles? Breaking in the motor/cam, but not being able to seat pistons: by driving it, wont damage anything right? What have I done?!?!?

Anyway thanks again for all the advice!!!

You will need a wideband O2 sensor and an electric fuel pressure gauge is also a good idea, add a trans temp gauge and you'll be able to keep an eye on everything that matters.

Disconnecting the temp sensor or O2 will force the computer to stay in open loop which will provide more fuel, this may or may not be needed since the motor won't be under load but there's no way to know without a wideband O2 to show what the actual A/F ratio is.
