Good Price?
I am looking to buy a new truck soon, and am looking at the 2010 F150's. My two requirements are 4X4 and SuperCrew. I'm not particular about any of the other options.
2010 F150 4X4 SS CRW
4.6L 3V EFI V8 ENGINE
ELECTRONIC 6-SPD AUTO MSRP-35290 asking price of 29,983
The extra cost options that I know of are as follows:
3.73 RATIO LIMITED SLIP AXLE - 300
BLACK PLATFORM RUNNING BRDS - 250
XL PLUS PACKAGE - 450
Is this a good deal, or should I shoot for better. Thanks in advance for all of your help.
Also, I talked to a friend with a '08? 5.4L and he said he wish he had the 4.6L because of all the problems iwht the 5.4L moter. Do you guys agree with that, or would you say the 5.4 is better and worth the additional cost.

What problems??? I had a 2004 F150 with the 5.4 and I did not have a bit of problems with the motor I sold it with over a 120K on it. I now have a 2009 with the 5.4 and 29,000 miles and have not had any issues so far.
Personally I really like the durability of the 5.4.

I'd say your probably going pretty well on price. There may be a little money left on the table, go after it if possible.
The gap between dealer cost, dealer invoice and MSRP has narrowed.

The 4.6L and the 5.4L are basically the same motors. The 5.4L is off of the same Mod Motor platform as the 281 and utilizes the same parts. Basically, a 5.4L is pretty much a slightly wider version of the 4.6L. Even the heads will interchange between the 281 and 330.

Yeah, I have experience with the 4.6L. I have an '02 Mustang GT. But never really messed with the 5.4L, just like I said, a friend said he heard about some problems with it. Thanks again.
