Towing my boat this summer the trailer lites went out. I found
a broken power line on the trailer. After repairing the trailer harness still no lites.
I checked power at the plug and it was dead !! All the lights on the truck are working. Is the trailer lite connector on its own fuse, and if so witch one ?
Don't have owners manual with me. Thanks to all.
On an '05 and up, all the trailer isolation relays and fuses are in the box under the hood. Not sure where on an '03-'04, but I do know they are dedicated fuses.
The truck is a 2004 F350 with the 6L diesel, AT, Lariat, all the goodies.
Thanks to all .
One note. I did find a 20 amp fuse blown in the fuse box under the steering wheel, after changing the fuse it didn't seem to help.
Thanks again
Just check to see if you blew the fuse again. If there is a short somewhere as soon as you plug back in with the truck lights on the trailer running lights will stay dark.
Thank you Cowboy65. The link you posted with the schematic was the ticket.
Got her ready to roll. Found the popped fuse in no time. Thanks a heapin helpin.............
