1994 flairside bed

Im looking to find a bed for my 94 flairside. Will a bed from a lighting within 92-96 year model work? Also i was told my motor from my 94 wont work in my 93 extended cab both of them have 5.0 and the problem was the bolt pattern on the tranny is there are truth to this

I'm not 100% sure on the bed, but I don't see why not.. On the engine, all I can say is BULL!!!!! 4.9L 300, 5.0L 302, and 5.8L 351 all have the same engine to transmission bolt pattern, and have had since the start...

The 92-95 Lightning is not a flareside like the 2nd gen Lightning. Although its bed or any other short bed from 87-91 or 92-96 should work be replace your flareside bed.

Like White 97 just said, the engines should swap.

the 5.0's will be a direct swap. as for the bed any will fit as long as they are the same length... there was just a rebuild forum where the builder repaced his bashedup flareside with a 6ft regular bed... should be a direct bolt on... unless there were modifications I didn't catch or see in that forum...

Was just at a yard here in Phoenix, there was a flareside bed sitting there on a truck. Asked the guy at the counter about it, he told me no one has even asked about it. Just to give you a heads up.
