Exhaust question
Hello,
I recently purchased a 1994 150 4.9 v-6 and was wondering if it would be possible to make it sound mean at all. I understand that a v-6 is a v-6 and nothing more, but I was wondering what would sound the best. I have looked all over youtube, and most of the exhaust clips sound very quiet/close to the stock exhaust sound. Currently, I want to remove both cats but dont want to cause any damage to the motor. What do you think would sound the best? Im considering purple hornies, flowmaster super 44s, cherry bomb extreme, or flowtech terminator. I dont really know much about exhaust, but I would love to make this thing sound mean. How does a 4.3 v6 blazer sound meaner than most 4.9's?!?!

The 4.9l in your new to you F-150 is an 300ci I6. The only 300's I heard that sounded good to me are the ones that had a more aggressive cam installed. If it were me I would keep the exhaust quiet and enjoy the truck.
