it will after a number of drive cycles. but that will take forever. best is to find out what codes are there and repair as needed. then clear the codes to reset the light. or you can just disconnect both batteries.

The Code was a P0401. I cleaned the EGR Valve and the EP sensor. Was hoping that would take care of it. The EGR was replaced a year ago by the previous owner at their dealer in Las Vegas. I was hopping cleaning them would take care of the CEL.
How do you clear the codes with out disconting the batteries???
I have only had the Excursion for just about 2 months and learning my way around. It is a early 2004 Problem Child.
