01 v8/01 v10 tranny difference?

What is the difference in the two trannies? Can a v10 tranny bolt up to a 5.4 and work like it should?

It will bolt right up. There is no differences on the outside. On the inside the V10 trans has more clutch plates in some of the clutches. A V10 trans on a V8 might shift firmer than stock. Other than that it will work fine.
