hey i need some help im new to this fourm thing but i have a 2004 f 350 and the antifreeze keep shooting out the fill cap i have changed the cap and i changed the thermostat what the hell is causing this prob

Could be caused by .......
Bad water pump
Using only water and no antifreeze
Bad cap - but you have ruled that out

Most commonly though, .... it is either:
Head gasket leaks caused by weak head bolts, warped head, etc
OR
Leaking EGR cooler

Is your 2004 an early 2004 (made before 9/23/2003) or a late 2004 (w/ the ICP sensor on the passenger valve cover)?

Do you have any aftermarket mods? Especially do you have any REAL gauges?

the engine gets to like 240 if i keep on it but if i let off it cools down the fan goes on the exaust doesent have the sweet antifreeze smell and its deff not in the oil

ive had the egr cooler replace twice already the first time it looked like it was coming from the headers and the second time it was smokin from the exaust i have the edge and from turbo back 4in exaust

i would say it is the head gasket what mods do you besides thew edge and the 4in exaust

head gasket fablous just have the edge programer and exaust a 8in lift and 38 tires dont understand how its not in oil or the exaust dosent smell

if the antifreeze does not have a sweet smell then the antifreeze got overheated youshould change it

i mean the exaust dosent have the sweet smell like its goin throught the turbo the front drivers side smells sweet from it spilling allover the place

hp i not sure it says it adds like 150 horses but i doubt it i really dont use it for performance just the guages

ok the antifreeze is fine is there any white smoke from the exaust

the 6.0L have a lot of head problems when people add programmers
