Hi,
Haven't posted for a while but I always know where to go to get help! I recently traded my 2000 SD V-10 for a 2005 F350 Lariat 6.0l. So far so good but I am going to change the factory head unit out for a newer factory head unit that I can run Sirius sat with. On my 2000, it was easy, I just used the coat hanger method and it came right out. This one looks like I need to remove the entire dash cover. Can someone give me a description on how it's done, I really appreciate, thanks in advance!
Turn key to on, put shift lever in 1, shut key off. I worked from drivers side to pass. side, just pulling on the top lip of the dash panel. Disconnect plugs as you go, it really was easy. It took me about an hour tops to replace my headunit. I bought it at crutchfields and it came with all instructions for my 06 f250.
I've had mine off half a dozen times in the last month or so. Follow the above instructions. Unclip the 3 connectors on the back of the dash trim just on the left side and you will be able to rotate the whole thing towards you without unclipping any other connectors. The radio will be fully accessible.
