Pictures will be posted tomorrow. Dad has a new Android Incredible phone, he will take pictures of the stakes, the truck, the data plate, the special paint codes for the pin stripe (handwritten on factory label), and the wheels.

And yet another one with the wrong year.

Still waiting for documentation for the 73-79 series, specifically the 78-79 model.

sounds interesting it sounds like Ford had a ton of options for these trucks you could mix &match bout any options you wanted.

They dropped the Farm and Ranch, and Contractor Specials in 1972.

They also dropped the 9' styleside beds.

They also had a heavy duty F-100 that started in 1971. Later turned into the F-150.

Does not mean they had them in 1978 etc...

There were also dealer options that you could get from the dealer, that were not factory options. My 1973 had cattle racks, but it wasn't a factory option, or dealer option either. Lots of aftermarket support for these trucks when they were new.

They stopped advertising the packages in later brochures, it was all parted out into specific items. And alot of them were only on a build sheet that you got when you went to your local dealership and ordered one.

I said it before they stopped the packages and made it where you could get the options. I am just showing there was such thing. Also alot of things you had to 'build' a truck to get. Kind of like athe interceptor package on cars.

That's true, Back then the dealers would also install options 'n things on trucks, like the dealer installed A/C etc...
They'd just throw a book at you 'n tell you get what ya want basically, today, it's different, you can only get certain things with certain "Packages"

There isn't any Ford Stripe kit that matches that one on the truck.

I suggest that truck was outfitted in Denver for some Ranch or Farm person.
