trying to r&r ujoints help
can someone tell me how the manual locking hubs off my f-150 i think i need a special socket but can't find one big enough with the six prongs and i've tried the screw driver method and thats gonna do more damage than good any ideas?

Put the screw driver straight in, into one of the slots. Then hit the shaft of the screw driver with a hammer, (I prefer useing a dead blow hammer) in the correct direction. There will be no damage this way.
This can also be used in the opposit direction to install them, but you won't know if you torqued them right.

see i work at o'riellys and we don't have a big enough socket i talked to the dealership and i looked at a new hub while at work it looks to me like some idiot put the hub in backwards correct me if i'm wrong but every hub i've dealt with you take out the screws pull the cap and the spring should be right behind the cap you pop the clips off or unscrew it and it should pull right out right? lol well on mine you pull the cap and the spring is on the backside of all the gears i've been scratchin my head on this one even ford was but they can't tell me what to do because they've never had this problem
