Manual Hubs question!

I was just wondering if anyone with expertise on here could tell me how to know if my hubs are in need of replacement. I am going to be changing the tie rods and ball joints and would like to do anything else that may need to be done just need a little guidance as to being able to know whats still good and is not.

Not to worry, you can change those hubs anytime. If you are able to use the 4x4 now, then theres not much reason to replace them at this time. On the other hand, it would be a good idea to take them out and repack the wheel bearings. Unless of course they have already been repacked 30 month or 30,000 miles

Ok sounds good yes 4x4 does work. Repack with bearing grease, if so recommend any paticular kind?

Just a brand name wheel bearing grease would be fine. When I do them, I clean/grease up the bearings/hubs, coat the screws with never seize, and replace the O rings
