All Power Windows Not Working

I have a 1998 Ford Explorer XLT with a 4.0, VIN X. Power window and interior light problems.

My dome lights and have developed a mind of their own and have started to stay on intermittently. They will continue to stay on indefinetly at times.

From what I understand there are four causes for this syndrome.

1) A stuck switch on any of the doors. (I have WD-40ed the latches)

2) The Battery Saver Relay is malfunctioning.

3) The Interior Light Relay is malfunctioning.

3) or the fuse for the circuit that controls both the Interior Light Relay and the Battery Saver Relay is fried. ( I have replaced the fuse, # 26 )

My other problem, which I feel is related, is with the power windows. They do not operate at all.

Any suggestions that may save me a trip to the Ford Dealer?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

All Power Windows Not Working

I have a somewhat related problem with my 95 Explorer Sport. The fuse that controls the interior lighting and power windows keeps blowing. Rolling down the windows seems to trigger it. Have you determined what the problem was with yours? I'm thinking maybe something is wrong with the window switch. Any suggestions?
