I am getting ready to replace my serpentine belt as preventative maintenance. I was looking at the belt path and noticed that the actual belt path does not match the belt path on the sticker under the hood. My assembly has one less pulley than what is shown on the sticker. On the sticker there is a pulley just to the lower left of the alternator that is backwrapped. I do not have this pulley.
Anyone else notice this? Am I missing a pulley, or did a previous owner remove it and use a different belt? There still seems to be plenty of belt wrap around the alternator pulley and the truck runs great, so I assume everything is ok. I just thought I would throw it out there.
