torque converter lock up
had a question for yous, when i first received my X3 from Mike i had no trans pressures or TQ strategies added. I removed the FTVB i had and put a stock valve body back in and i had mike send me three new tunes with pressures and TQ added. My question is do yous notice the TQ lockups? Mine locks up at about 36mph then hits OD at around 42mph. I'm in NJ so its all flat so i don't know how the TQ locks up going up and down hills if i lived in PA or out west.

That's a stock strategy. Going up a hill is similar to stomping on it, the shift points and lockup will move up a bit with the load. Say you are in OD at 42 MPH and get up to 60 MPH, then need to pass somebody and you stomp on it. You know it will downshift until it gets closer to 70 before going into OD again. I'd give a speed for the shift, but it varies too much with how much throttle you give it.

i know it will down shift if i stomp on it i just figured the TQ would be a little differnt than stock. It just seems like when driving around for two weeks with no tuner at all then getting the Fivestar its little to no difference in TQ lock up. Just the pressure is different and the WOT is a little higher now.
