Engine rebuild kits
I've always been leery of rebuild "kits", they always seem to have something in them I don't like and wind up buying something else to make up the difference in cost.
On the other hand, I haven't bought any rebuild kits in the past 10 years anyway, so... who knows.
Guys?

Just that, like I said, there's always something in them that isn't exactly what I wanted.
But again, I haven't rebuilt a complete engine in a long time, so...
Waiting for others here to chime in.

Hmm a specific rebuild kit escapes me at the moment but my dad always swore by ones with lots of fel-pro gaskets in it. He would get pretty upset if he found a gasket that was only paper thin, he liked the thicker gaskets. Maybe Survival has them?? I remember dad getting a complete gasket set with 3 gaskets missing, he was not happy at all. Good Luck
Depending on what you buy, you may get a kit to rebuild your engine to the same specs as OEM. Fine if you like the low compression, weak valve springs and roundish cams used in PU engines.
Selecting certain components individually may cost more $$, but what do you want, milquetoast or a fire breather or something in the middle?
