360 fe not running right
i have a 76 ford with a 360 fe motor with the 2 barrel carb. i can get it start and keep it running once its warm it will idle but if i hold throttle down for constant acceleration at the rpm it bogs out. i have to pump the throttle to keep it running. need help

This trick is unique to FE's, due to their intake manifold design you can't check for vacuum leaks along the intake gasket the typical way so it sure beats pulling the heavy 80lb intake if you don't have to, just take some duct tape and cover your pcv and breather holes on the valve covers and start the motor, if the tape becomes concave i.e. "dimples" inward you have a vacuum leak at the intake gasket.
