What Would You do?

Moral Dilemma

There is a Lawsuit against Ford and Williams Controls for The Accelerator Pedal on 01-03 7.3 Trucks. I have had one of Trucks sense new. I have had the Accelerator pedal replaced. I still have the old unit and Docs. I replaced the Pedal for a reason other then the lawsuit. My truck have never had the symptoms of which are described in the lawsuit. And it didn’t fix the problem I was having. I’m sure I’d get the money ($300.00) back.

Options are submit a claim
Exclude myself
Object, want more in settlement and explain why
Go to a Hearing
Do nothing.

This is a moral dilemma. I have to say, follow your gut.

But for me, if my rig was unaffected by the recalled issues, then I would have to exclude myself.

So many people want money for nothing!!

If your rig was not effected, then you truly have no claim.

It's your conscience,,, do what you will.

I'd exclude myself.

I got the notice too,,, but as I did not have that work done,,, I shredded it!!

Count your blessings that your truck was not affected, and toss out the claim forms!

Do the right thing...nothing!!! You weren't affected...you have no right to a claim!!!

It really pi$$es me off when I read about how the "stealerships" are always trying to rip off the consumer...how Ford won't do this...or...that to help out a customer when the warranty is over or has been voided by mods. In the very next breath...owners are trying to steal from the dealer or the manufacturer.

DISCLAIMER...I work for a dealership...the last 13 with a Ford store!!!

If you modded the truck, and it was no longer 'original', and you are not having problems, exclude yourself from this and enjoy your truck.

Been in the same situation, only with a Remington recall.
I tossed the papers and went on with my life.

(Hey!!! You asked!!)
