Add A Leafs - Front
I have a 1996 F350 with dana 60 and 2 leaf stock springs. i just installed a plow and would like to get add a leafs on it before the stock springs begin to sag.
There is a full length add a leaf or a short version that can order. both styles install under the 2 leaf pack. Through my research, the full length is a more forgiving ride, and doesn't limit suspension travel as much. the short version is a harsher ride, but i read it holds the lift longer - also read the longer ones hold the lift longer?
i'm not concerned about ride quality and the difference between the 2 styles is probably pretty small. i'm also not overly concerned about suspension travel as the truck spend most of its time on pavement anyway. the longer one are around $150, and the shorter ones are about $100. The price difference doesn't really matter to me either.
so my question is which stlye will hold the lift the longest? any other factors i haven't considered? other pros/cons to either style?
