at the moment i have mastercraft courser AT's and im pretty happy with them. has anybody had any experience with the general grabber AT2? any other ATs recommended?has anybody had any experience with goodyear duratrac's?
I am running Cooper Discoverer ATRs and like them to this point. They did real well last winter and are quiet on the roads. Very little wear is noticeable. I only have 8,000 miles on them though. They run about the same price as the Mastercrafts.
People really love the Firestone Destination ATs, but my set burned off in 22,000 miles, and they became dangerous when the tread got low.
I had the Goodyear Wranglers ATS on my truck (stock tire when I purchased truck) and was not too happy with them to be honest. They were quiet and lasted a long time but traction wise I slipped in most conditions.
I now have Nitto Terra Grapplers and have been very impressed with them. I expected them to be louder but I truly have not noticed a difference. I have noticed a big gain in traction off road and on road. I have only had these for about 2k miles so not sure on how they will wear yet.
Another great tire that I have researched and driven in a friends and my shop's mechanic's truck was the Yokohama Geolander AT. That was a really nice tire but it just didn't come in the size I wanted. I took my friends truck out last winter and tried to get stuck and I could not every where I wanted to go it went and came back out with no trouble.
i have been running Hankook RF10 ATM on my navigator. They have given me great traction(2' of snow pulling an 18' trailer with the tractor and snowblower) and are quiet on the road. I have 20k miles on them and they still look like new.
