Starting Issue

2001 Supercrew 4.6 2wd. Isn't a problem yet but would like to fix it before it becomes one. When I go to start it after it sits for a while(ie over night, after I get off work) it cranks over for a while before it starts. Longer than it should. When I get in it after running an errand, something quick it fires right up

What you could try is turn the key to on wait a few seconds, then turn it off and do that again. Do it a few times then try starting it, if it fires right up then that is the problem.

I am unsure how these trucks keep the fuel in the lines, someone else will have to chime in on that. But at least I can help you figure out if that is the problem.
