Trailer Tow Mirrors--Help Please
I have searched for this info. If i missed it I appologize. I have an 2002 PSD Excursion with the heated directional mirrors. I am looking to upgrade to the Trailer Tow mirrors that they offer on the New SD with the directionals built in. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so what is involved. Other than the purchase.

As a matter of fact, I'm working on that right now. Here's what ya do: Get the trailer tow mirrors from your dealer. They will bolt right up. Power mirror part will plug right in with no problem. On the Excursion, you can tie into the original defroster wiring with the heating element wire for the mirrors. The turn signal part is fairly easy. You need to run one wire from each turn signal under the dash and up to the mirror. Fairly easy. Dwight C. just did the same install. Takes about 3 hours or so.

do you have turn signals built in the mirrors on your x? i am not too familiar w/ those mirrors, but didn't some have heat & the signals (or i am just confused)?

No they come in smooth (to be painted ) or black pebble finish !
