Hi everyone, I just inherited a 2004 F-250 and I have a question about the lights, my other car has xeons headlights, and when I drove the truck for the first time at night I felt like the lights were not even on. Even with the birghts they are pretty dull. What is the best way to make the lights closer to the brightness of my xeons? I have done a search of the forum but I can not find any posts related to this question. Thanks
Before messing with bulbs, I'd get a relay harness here. You'd need one of the last 2 in the harness section - either the '94-04 9007 relay harness, or the next one that allows for high and low beam at the same time. You'll get more voltage than you will through stock Ford wiring. Don't do HIDs in the stock cans. They just blind other drivers and look like poop.
I don't drive this truck that much maybe 3-5k a year, so I wont be out blinding too many people. I mainly drive at night/low light out camping, so I want bright lights, coming off my BMW xenons to the stock Ford is a huge downgrade. I am just trying to find something comparable.
