Yea, and he doesn't like the mother in law. What can I say. He's a smart dog.

He is a springer spaniel, looks similar to the picture under your user name, only black spots instead of brown.

On my 69` F-250, the most likely theft deterent is the shaved door handles. For a uneducated truck thief, this will stump him. If your dealing with the smarter than avergae thief ( I tend to think of thiefs as complete dumb**** and complete ***holes) and I am parking the truck for a long period of time, I just pop the top off the distributor and put the rotor in my pocket. Easy enough, works well.

After someone smashed out my '82 wing window I stopped locking it all together.

When the pin for the shift lever broke, I learned to shift carefully and to take the lever inside with me at night.

Sometimes there is a bum sleeping in there when I go out in the morning, but he keeps the worse bums away, so what the heck.

No one steals farm trucks because it too painful going down the road with everyone waving at you and you having to wave back. Plus you'd have to know the trick to opening the either door.

My MG was "sugared" once by a creepy neighbor I lothed. Back then I would pull the fuel hose from the filler spout, inside the trunk, at night. Was actually happy to finally see a pile of sugar in there after numerous times of doing this. Lead to blows: he moved, I no longer had to perform the trick.

I have a heated parking space in my shop for the '57.

This one's kind of weird but definetly works. I had a 52' Custom Chevy PU (Sorry Guys) with 4 locking solenoids on the brake lines, just before the wheel cylinders. All you had to do was pump up the brakes and hold them, flip an anonymous switch; and nothing was moving that truck without a crane.

It means they have been compltetly removed from the door with no trace of ever being there ( the area is filled in to create one full panel of metal.)

Ive been robbed twice in the last 3 months.
Both in my truck... I guess punk kids like Jacked up Z-71s with big tires and tinted windows.. They took my radio and my brand new rifle.
It has an alarm on it but little did I know that the siren on it wasn't grounded, so it was worthless.
Ive fixed that problem tho.
2 bad punk @(* kids think that because you have a nice ride that they want, they can just take whatever they want out of it.
As for security purposes... Ive used the hidden switch before, and for some reason nobody ever messed with my 83 Ford Country Squire station wagon w/ the creme and woodgrain on it... even tho I left it unlocked and windows down. lol
Oh well.
But the switch is a good idea. Ive just pulled the coil wire a ton of times if im leaving it sitting, most thiefs arent smart enough to check under the hood if it doesnt start, they just go about their way

I always took my old buddy, Toke along. He was a 100 lbs German Shepard type. Guarded the truck so no one would go near it. Big red gumbs w/ black spots, and 5 inch cannines. Did the trick.

Now I just lock up with regular locks on the vehicle. I live in a very safe place, and when I travel I make sure that I park smart.

Reminds me of the guy who walks into the bank wanting to take a small loan to go to Europe. He put his Lamborgini up for collateral. The bank checked him out and gave him the loan taking the car for collateral. He went off to Europe and when he returned he went back to the bank to pay off the loan. The Banker was curious to know why the guy, who was obviously wealthy, needed a loan to go to Europe. The guy told him, he did not need the money to travel, but there was no other place in the city where he could park his car, safely, securely, and at no expense to him, other than the banks own parking garage. With that said, he paid off the loan, got his keys back, and went home!

GOT A COUPLE HERE FOR YOU.

1 my 72 has won't star off the key it will turn over but not fire unless you hit the extra switch to give the coil a boost then it runs off the switch
2) my 76 power wagon won't start of the switch either won't even turn over so it has a push button switht to crank it over but it is with 4 other swithes (for fog light roll bar light and cab light) so you need to know witch one to push
3 my 68 switch burned out so I had 3 switches to run it
one for "run" one for "accesorys"(like to listen to the radio when waiting on the girlfreind to get ready) then the start button I would leave the key in these trucks nobody ever figured them out.

freak, that's a whole lotta' switches on those rigs! I think that even if you stood there and tried to explain to a would-be thief how to start 'em up, you'd still be pretty safe
