cracked head

cracked head
hi guys i dont know if this is a known problem with these heads, but i have a 360 in my 69 f100 and on the right head the exhaust flange on the head is cracked on one of the flanges where the exhaust manifold bolt goes through and on one of the other ones a chunk is missing where one of the bolts go through. is this a common problem with these? could i take it to an engine shop when i have the heads redone and have them fix them or are they junk now. if anyone has any advise i wouls greatly appreciate it thank you.

I'm no expert by any means but it sounds like the head is junk. I'd take it down to a shop and find out for sure.
The other thing is do you know whhy it cracked? May be an underlying problem.
I have a 428 that was running fine up until last Sunday. Now it's rapping on the right bank like a Jamaican on a steeldrum. I got some really good feed back on the potentials in the FE Forum. You may want to try there to get a better ( or more educated response ).
