1997 f350 help
hey guys, looking at buying a 97 f350 single cab long box. 3" lift with 285/75/16 muds. body has no dents scratches or rust, engine has 245xxxKM, new brakes, front end cold AC and an intake with 4" exhaust.
problems with it are it shifts in and out od OD around 150KM on the highway, the column shifter is very loose and wont move into 1st, has an oil leak on the passenger side of the engine abouve the crossmember, intake boots are cracked and leaking a bit, has a A pill pod with EGT, Trans, Boost gauges that arent hooked up, and its only an XL with no power W/D no tilt, or cruise.
what is a truck like this roughly worth? i was gonig to offer $4500 and what could be causing the problems its having?

From the list of gauges this must be a Power Stroke. 150,000 is nothing to a PSD if it has been half looked after.
Shifts in and out of OD at 90mph? If it is doing that then you would need to get the trouble codes.
Loose shifter, probably just needs the two torx head bolts tightened at the bottom of the column.
For the oil leak and other engine related problems your best bet would be to ask on the PSD page in the Diesel Section for expert opinion.
