91 F250 no start
Also got: 031,032 which have to do with the egr and 067 which came up on the reader as something like converter lockup failure but the list I found on line says Neutral / Drive switch open. I am guessing that if the neutral switch was not working the truck would not turn over???
I have no book for this truck but do have a '95 F250 460 so I am somewhat familiar with the truck.
I did search a bit but could not find much. Is the secondary circuit the pump side of the fuel pump relay? Were is the fuel pump relay located on this truck?
Any suggestions or ways to approach this problem are appreciated.
Thanks
Archie
Will it start on the other tank?
The Computer says the voltage is not right leaving the fuel pump relay, either too high or too low.
High would mean an open circuit.
Low would mean a open fuse link, bad relay, bad wiring under the fuel pump relay, pump or circuit wiring leaking to or shorted to ground (not a dead short or it would burn open the fuse link).
A 91 has the same fuel system that your truck has, only has the pump(s) inside the FDM that is inside the tank(s). No frame mounted pump or selector valve.
Your truck does not have the fuse link like the 91 and the relays on yours are inside the fuse/relay box under the hood.
EVP sensor may be bad as the voltage is too low from it or bad wiring.
More than likely the A/C was left on during the self-test.
Nothing to worry about.
Yes it is.
Drivers side on the inter fender.
The truck has two tanks and will not start on either. Apparently the rear tank has had problems for some time.
The AC was probably on as I didn't think to turn it off.
I will see what I can do with this info, it is the pits working without a manual. I do have the manual for my truck but suspect that it is only good for the general idea of what is there.

The fuel pump was toast.
Lessons learned:
The inertia switch was mounted on the drivers side fire wall to left of brake peddle.
The fuel pump relay was not in the clip behind the air box but lying among the cables and connectors on the top of the fender well. (the mounting post was broken)
Thanks for the help
Archie
