GPR Led mod question.

I was told by another member on FTE to do the GPR led light mod and after looking into it I figured for the small amount of money for the led and the free wire and fuse holder from work why not its a great mod. My only question is, Ive only seen one led but I looked under the hood the other day and there are two relays. Should I install one for the one bank and another to another bank??

And I have looked under the dash to find a spot to feed wiring out into the engine comartment but couldnt find a hole or anything. Maybe I didnt look hard enough??

What size fuse is everyone using? I know leds arent using really anything but just looking for a general fuse size?

Thanks,
-AJ

The relay to the rear of the two is the glow plug relay. See pic. That's the one to tap your wire to. If you look at your parking brake pedal under the dash, you should see a bundle of wire with a silver tag on them saying "customer access." Those wires pass through the firewall into the engine compartment right up by the master cylinder. Use one of those wires to pass through for your LED. I used a 2amp fuse.

The other relay is for your AIH (Air Intake Heater). Very rarely comes on.

The front relay is for the Air Intake Heater. Not necessary thingyabob that most of us delete. Here's some info: Riffraff Diesel: RDP AIH Tapped Fitting

The second relay is actually the self destruct relay. If you mess with it... you have 30 seconds before your truck blows itself to bits. Hope you didn't mess with it!

When you 'delete' the AIH, do you just unplug the element?

I saw the adapter on riff raff's page, but no instructions on what you do with the AIH element itself. I presume removing it won't throw a code, right?

You can replace it with a Cummins oil drain plug or any number of aftermarket custom ones.

Pull the element, remove the red lead wire from the relay to the element, and remove the ground wire (or unhook from the element and let it hang in the engine valley) and you are done. It will throw a soft code but set off the SES light.
