Borg Warner S475mm T4
Compressor: 74.7 mm inducer, 100.8mm exducer, with exclusive Extended Tip Technology
Turbine: 83.5 inducer, 74mm exducer
Guy near me selling one, seems that there are adapters but is this turbo a reality for our engines? seems that a guy on a stroke forum said that anything over the 66mm inducer would be overkill to make 400rwhp on a 6.0. Got me wonderin haha
you can put as large of a turbo you want on it, you would just have a wg and bov to control the boost. and remember, the bigger the turbo the more the lag you will have. remember, 12-13lbs is safe pressure for these engines. any more and you wanna start putting head studs (6.9l only, 7.3l isnt available yet) and a few other slights mods to help handle the boost.
ya, i went though the last 15 pages and checked on the 0 reply topics. see if i could help at all. i know these posts get kicked to page 2 rather quickly then forgotten.
An S475 is waaaay more turbo than a 6.9 will realisticly need with any sane boost level, the Cummins guys use it as the big turbo in a set of compound twins and with a 62mm small charger, it moves enough air for around 750 hp on a 5.9...
