Brake Pedal sticks

My 97 F150 sat idle during the winter months due to engine problems. Now when I depress the brake pedal it sticks and I have to lift it back up with my foot. Is it the master cylinder or something else?

sounds like either booster problem or master cylinder to me. i'd bet the inner diaphragm in the booster dried up/rotted and now has a hole in it...
