Wheels / Tires

I have a 2005 F250 Diesel. I'm in the market for either new wheels & tires or just new tires. I currently have 265/70/17's. I was getting ready to purchase 20 inch rims and tires from a dealership but they said that Ford changed the suspension in 2006 and they wouldn't fit. My personal opinion is that the current set-up I have looks too small for the truck. I'm hoping that maybe I can go with larger tires to fill up the fenderwell but also keeping the "stock" look. Any suggestions on a bigger rim and tire or just a larger tire? I could even go with a slightly wider tire if possible without changing the suspension.

2005 and 2006 wheels are the same bolt pattern, backspacing, and offset. If you have wheels from a 2006, they will bolt up just fine.

So do you think I can go with 20's with no issues?

Yes. 20" wheels should be no problem. Just make sure you have the correct back spacing for 2005+ trucks. Plus make sure your tires are not over 35" tall on a stock truck.
