Guys I'm trying to help Billy and the B&L crew put on a sled pull in Llano on July 31st. This is going to be what we might call a "brush" pull. We will be using the sled that was used in Lomeda, and Johnson City antique tractor pulls.
This pull is just going to be his first step into this type of event so I'm hoping we can get as many trucks as possible. So for all the guys who have ever wanted to hook just to see how your truck would do, bring it on.
This WILL NOT be a sanctioned pull by any organization. But I'm certain there will be "some" safety rules. But we are not talking stuff like driveshaft loops, tranny blankets and fuel and air shutoffs. While all of these are welcome additions for safety reasons, they aren't required.
So if you have a truck with a hitch, bring it on! The pull will start at 1p.m. Saturday July 31st. We look forward to seeing you. I will post hook fees, safety requirements as I get them. But for the most part it's gonna be run what ya brung.
Yes Rocky, we will be there with "Bobbie's Kitchen Pass". We hooked with it a few weeks ago in Johnson City and won the event. The truck is running very strong.
Oh yeah. I have a custom stack cover I built with 3/8" plate and 1 1/2" strap. I can leave it on when I trailer it.

Whats the cash to play cost in a pull event in general
and how does the winnings go? You know 1st place trophy, cash, Sonsor etc... Second wins... Or am I off base here. Just wondering.
Well, I won JC and got a whopping $30!!!! LOL I don't know, I haven't been pulling long enough to know how all the winnings usually lay out. But it's never been more than $20 to hook.
It's the same place they have the mud races on 4th of July. The B&L construction site aka Toyland. Just north of the 29/16 intersection in town about 1/2 mile north on 16. It will be on your right hand side. There's a big concrete mixing plant at the entrance. Come on out and watch. It should be a great time.
