Anybody ever hear of Acra torque converters?
They are made by Acra-Tork in Blueridge,Ga
This guy came highly recommended by several transmission shops I talked to
He builds a billet tripple disc torq for $465.The stall speed is 1200 RPM.He showed us the parts he puts in the torque and the most were made by Sonnax
Anywho a friend ordered one today and should have it Thursday,so hopefully i'll see how it works by the first of next week
The torque converter went into buddies truck this past weekend along with a Transgo Tugger kit
Between the two what a difference.A 9500# dump truck that will burn the tires with a superchips programmer
We haven't put a good load on it yet,but think there wil be a big difference
I would also like to hear more .How does it act with that low of a stall .I know mine has got to have some sort of high stall from the way it acts and I hate it ,but not sure how a 1200 stall would do
