Karl has his baby on the dyno today...wish him luck!
Ive talked to him a couple times this morning but I havent heard any baseline numbers yet. Hopefully it stays together but if not the video sure would be exciting.
Isn't that what you have?
And damn it Karl, where are you with the details?!?
yeah. Maybe Cheet-hoe will post up the motivational poster about my small weiner now.

as it turns out Karls well thought out build isnt quite as good as whiteys 429. Dave and Lem must be slipping or maybe its the heartbreaking horsepower robbing dyno.
Sorry been gone for a while. My motor is nothing special. It's as Kris said, with some really good flowing ported out d0ve heads on a D1ve block. I was a little disappointed with the final dyno results which ended up at 619hp @ 6800 and 529 lb/ft @ 5200. At least that's what the paper says.
I found out at the end of the day that his dyno is set to be VERY stingy and actually reads a little lower than it should to help HP restricted truck pull guys. He and several others have told me that his dyno is known to be 75-100hp low. So, if you think about it and add 75 to each of the hp and tqe numbers, it makes for a much better reading for an iron headed 466.
Keep in mind that this is still in a 3018lb ranger and before I hit it with a 200 shot of NOS.

*fixed for sober readers
it is still probably pretty badass without the nitrous. most i've ever had was 400ish hp in a fullsize longbed, so it would probably feel like a rocket to me.
Similar horsepower and half the weight that Ranger should move pretty good. I bet he'll be in the mid-high 3sec range on a good track before its all said and done this year. If not bring it down to SC and we'll give it a shot at Thunder Valley. It'll make you feel good when the clock lights up at the end of the track.
