As many of you know, i have some hgs taking a crap, oil cooler acting like a heater core and now long cranks, since my truck is an 05 im guessing my STC fitting is getting loose, it cranks quick when cold and long when hot(STC fitting) other than that truck drives fine, no CEL's, and she just rolled 100k 2 days ago.
Hopefully within the next month when my pops gets money she'll be on the lift getting an engine makeover, and some tunes.
I'd park it until then if I were you. Seems pretty risky to be driving it around in that condition. If it is a problem with the high pressure oil system it'll leave you stranded eventually.
Other than your egr cooler cracking and hydrolocking the motor or the oil cooler rupturing and contaminating the coolant with oil, probably not too much
Just saying....you're already looking at an expensive bill to fix the truck. Driving it around in the condition it's in only creates the potential for an even more expensive bill.

I monitor everything closely, i check the coolant levels a couple times a week, egr valve, i know its dangerous, but if any other symptoms start, its parked, so far nothing else besides longer cranks.
I just got back from smoothie king and when i started it after coming back to the truck when the motor was hot it cranked perfect. so it seems intermitten..... getting it fixed is a priority, my dad comes back to the states tomorrow and one of the main subjects will be my truck.
You'll also burn up the pump as it works over time to compensate for the lack of pressure needed to start. My '05 F-450 is in the shop right now being repaired for the same reason.
The problem that I find about 90 percent of the time is the blank tubes and stand up tubes cause the problem. Actually the o-rings at the end of the tubes are the problem but ford doesn't sell them anymore you have buy the whole tube. What happens is when the engine is cold the oil is thick and hold pressure but when it gets hot the oil is thin and you lose pressure because it can slip by the o-rings remember the 05 needs at least 750 psi to start fast
