Well boys Im on the way,I took the hood off today,got the truck moved under my little shelter preparing to tear it down,Im taking every thing out of the way ,pulling the heads and see what I find.Ill post pics soon,just wanted to get a thread started,yall know ill be full of questions next week!!

ya, good luck man. now that i got my spare 7.3l in im gonna tear down my cavitation engine to check it out. keeping every single part minus the bare block. never know when you need a spare whatever
Can't recall if you have a decent camera or not, but would be nice to get a step by step on the engine side of things on the forum for reference for others, hint, hint!!
ya i like greywynd idea make it a sticky possibly if not just a thread thinkin bout it a sticky on the 7.3idi and 6.9idi engine tear down help wouldnt be bad at all what do you think rupejosh

i dont think i would be able to make it into a sticky i will talk to dave sponaugle when the time comes but what i could do is make it a tech article,which i have been thinking about doing and compiling a bunch of tech articles into one thread and making it a sticky but i do have to talk to dave about it first he is kinda the head guy in the idi forum still.
ya well i know it would be handy for everyone and then if new guys want to learn about their trucks we just send them to it and they learn all they want and thnks for thinkin bout somethin like that
A lot of this stuff doesn't necessarily need 'stickied' as long as folks know where and how to locate it. Also sometiems some editing of thread titles and tags can help a lot too.
