Doubler and headers

A little history about my truck. 97 f250 frame, 86 dana 60 front, built 460 c6 and a doubler. Heres my problem, with the front drive shaft installed theres no way i can get an exhaust pipe onto the header. does anyone know of a shorty header or somthing i can use to make this setup work? thanks.

fender exit headers instead of frame exit FTMFW!. If youve got the room in the inner fender it really opens up more room between the frame rails.

Do you know a company that makes fenderwell headers for that year for frame that uses carbureted heads?

Maddog Mad Dog Headers

badass headers but they must be coated. DO NOT paint them.

Those headers fit your 79 but will they work on a 97 frame? The frames wider in 97 then it was is 79.

Mod your headers. I just got done putting a set of James Duff 66-77 bronco headers on my 94 F150. Cut the collectors off, and bolt the. Pipes on, and massage them to where needed. Cut here, weld there, Than weld the collectors back on.

That was my first option but looking closer at them it would invole allmost distroying the headers to get them to clear. Fenderwell headers from maddog are on order

O, well, it was a idea anyways. I've done that on a couple different vehicles now.

This is why there isn't a 205 in my truck, and won't be for quite some time.
because of the diff location, the driveshaft sits at an angle and will take up all of the space under there.

That's when I still had the TTB, but, the pinion has only moved down with the 60.
A 205 will move the t-case 4" or so to the pass side... It just don't work...

I think I remember reading that maddogs for the 80+ trucks aren't a direct bolt on over on 460ford, I had considered getting a set for my truck.
