You say this, but earlier you said this:

Betting it says "DO NOT USE overdrive when towing"?? Since that's not a true statement, doesn't that make it, by default, a false statement?

If you would have simply suggested to check the owner's manual, I don't think there would be an issue here. But making claims and implying that the rest of us (that own and drive these trucks for a living) are wrong about towing in OD is where you make a fool of yourself.

I think Marv matters a whole lot more around here then someone else. You guys can make your own conclusions based on past information presented. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Marv has helped more people in one week on this forum than Bojo68 will ever.

BTW, first time I have chosen to use the ignore feature on this site. Congratulations bojo.

Being willing to bet on something DOES NOT make it a representation of fact, if had had specific knowledge one way or the other, I wouldn't have worded it that way. I figured the possibility was very strong, that doesn't make it a fact, and I didn't present as such. I may have been wrong about what I figured it would say, but I'm still a lot more accurate than the people claiming I presented it as fact.

I wasn't aware that looking to own, or owning a particular vehicle were requirements for helping people out. In fact, I've never owned, or wanted to own a Porsche 944 either, but have had people willing to pay me good money to fix theirs for 1400$ less than the dealer would. I beat a Ford dealer price on a 11 month old diesel pickup by 4100$, and have never owned one of those either. Both were damned grateful.(and the Porsche went 1500 miles the next day)
Far as what I'm doing, initially, I was trying to help out, but it appears what I've done is give a reading comprehension test that many are flunking.

Any more volunteers?

Back then it was just like it is now with a very few exceptions. This guy came in and stirred up a hornets nest and hasn't been seen since Rich. I had forgotten I even was in this thread. I didn't remember having used the ignore feature for this guy.
