Changing SD Ignition Switch
Reading all the posts about how easy it is to steal our wonderful SD's and living in Tucson and that being so close to the border and these trucks being used to haul illegals, I've been checking on different ways to maybe prevent my rig from being the next victim.
We all know the fancy alarms are ignored by everyone except the owner, so I was thinking about changing out the ignition switch so it would require a chipped key like I have on my Eddie.
Questions are
1) would an Eddie ignition switch work in a SD or
2) does any year of an X have the chipped key and would this be any easy swap out (any computer mods necesssary)??

Changing SD Ignition Switch
The PATS system (chipped key) requires more than just the ignition switch. I doubt it's possible to install with reasonable cost. You'd be better off spending the $$ for something like lo-jac or whatever it's called.
