I have a 2004 Ranger Edge with 3.0 motor, 5 speed auto transmission with 140,000 miles on it. Motor has a miss which is causing left side to dump fuel and burn cats. I took it to a private shop last month where they put on 3 new cats, new ECM, new plugs, wires, ignition coil and one new O2 sensor, none of which fixed the miss. I took it to a Ford dealership yesterday. Today they called and said that it needed a new engine wiring harness before they could continue diagnosing problem. Only problem is, they don't make that harness anymore, according to the parts department.
Does anyone know where I can get a wiring harness for engine as Im affraid of burning more cats up. It gets kind of costly and I loose most engine power. Thanks for the help.
