Door perimeter sealer?

I'm replacing the drivers side door on my truck. I've taken the door from the donor truck and stripped the paint. When I was working around the inside edges of the door I noticed there is a hard, white, bead of some type of filler like material around the edge of the door where the 2 parts of the shell meet. I'm assuming it's some type of sealer to keep water out and smooth the edges. Well half of it was removed when I was stripping the door and would like to replace it before sealing the door. I'd guestimate it's 3/8" wide and goes around the inside edges of the entire door.

So what is this stuff? And what do I get at the parts store to replace it before I paint?

P.S. The door is off an 88 Bronco if it matters.

Seam sealer. Find your local auto paint supply store. They'll have much better stuff than your local auto part stores. Never use silicone sealer, "before you even think about it".
