Transmission Options
Working with what we have, what can we do to our transmissions to enable them to do the job they were designed to do, Towing the maximum recommended weight? Presuming that we are starting with a tranny in working condition.
I have heard that the weak link in the tranny is the TC, is this true?
Flushing with a good quality synthetic fluid.
Larger Cooler
External filter
BTS or JW valve body
Putting a better TC in.
Guages
I don't foresee ever springing for a $4100 rebuild.

A more complete mod would be the TransGo Tugger like I put in.... I have been abusing mine with way more than stock HP for several years now, and it's been about 9 months since it's been seeing about 500ish FWHP. Only mods are the Tugger, 26-row cooler, and a trans temp gauge.
