They are recommending replacing the gauge cluster. Same price ($450). I know I can get a gauge cluster on ebay for as low as 80 dollars, but is it worth it to do it myself and have the mileage off and show up on a CarFax report?
i did this to my wife's Accord when the digital odometer display disappeared and now the CarFax says "Miles may have been tampered with".
The mileage wont be off cause it's stored in the pcm but you cant do it yourself unless you have a scanner cause all the info from the old cluster has to be transfered over to the new one if it's a 2002 or newer. If you dont do that your going to open up a can of worms.
